This is why Jay Nordlinger is my favorite political commentator:

And who has taught Cindy to mouth these lines? I know her greatest hits — about Bush as the world's No. 1 terrorist, about a war for oil, or for Halliburton, or for the Carlyle Group — but Victor Davis Hanson taught me a new one in his piece last Friday: "Yes, he [Casey Sheehan, Cindy's son] was killed for lies and for a PNAC neocon agenda to benefit Israel. My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel."

No, someone had to teach Cindy to say that — "You've got to be carefully taught," as Oscar Hammerstein said. Who are the culprits? Who are these nasty and heartless exploiters? I think of the kids I went to college with. They'd arrive from Muskegon or wherever, perfectly sane, and within a month they'd be in the grip of nonsense. They'd met some smelly hippie at some stall — or, more likely, a teaching assistant in a classroom — and lost their marbles. Some recovered them relatively soon; others suffered lasting damage.

Every time he comes back from a "sabbatical," he seems to come back firing. I hope I have something clever to say whenever I come back from my sabbatical.

Comments:
THIS IS GOOD RHETORIC AS THE JEWISH PEOPLE RUN HOLLYWOOD, AND THE LIBERALS ARE HOLLYWOOD, SO THE ANTI-SEMETIC COMMENTS SHOULD PROBABLY KEEP MOST MOUTHS SHUT FROM THE CALIFORNIA SIDE. ITS FUN TO WATCH THEM SELF DESTRUCT, DON'T YOU THINK. IF THERE WERE A CINDY CHANNEL ON CABLE I MIGHT STOP WATCHING THE DAILY SHOW. I'VE BEEN TEMPTED TO ABUSE MY AUTHORITY AND PULL HER SON'S MILITARY RECORDS, BUT I OF COURSE WON'T. IF HE REALLY WAS EXTENDING HIS ENLISTMENT TO BE A CHAPLIN'S ASSISTANT IT WOULD BE PLAINLY WRITTEN ON HIS EXTENSION CONTRACT, I BET IT SAYS NOTHING OF IT.

I also am a big Nordlinger fan, for reasons on several levels. In this particular article, he hit the mark, as usual.

This time, I did one-up him, since I knew the author of The Magic Flute (Wagner).
