Weekend Football Picks

TJ Tampa Bay over the Jets
Scott Indy over San Fran
JPC Indy over San Fran

Jason - Out-
TBS -Out-
Sip -Out-

Had to note for our readers who is still in and who is out. Worth noting and gloating.

AND - hockey is back!! It was so great to come home from coaching last night - both Mite and Squirt practices - and watch the NHL again.

Comments:
JPC - you must not have seen my post from last week. I took my mulligan.

My pick this week: Green Bay over New Orleans.

There is no crying in baseball!

No mulligans! What if you went on to win? Would the rest of us get mulligans? It could go on forever.

You have to wait and see if the season ends early and we start over - just like the rest of 'em.

Indy over San Francisco. Predict a bad day for Alex Smith's debut.

Eventually I'll be able to get back to picking the Patriots again for sure-fire wins.

And congratulations to the many hockey fans out there. Game On!

In the next iteration of this contest, I'm going to mandate that you can only use each team once.

When's the first Bruins-Sabes game? Once JPC wins this god forsaken contest, that hockey game should give me the opportunity to win my bottle back.

I move that we forbid pool-losers from posting in the weekly football pool. Nothing personal, it's just that they are such...well...losers.

I would also suggest that Sip run his own pool. It would be similar to the government that Al Gore runs from his basement.

Not gonna happen. I believe forbidding me from expressing my views on which team will win on a given Sunday would be an impediment on my freedom of speech.

If you disagree, maybe we could let Harriet Miers decide.

TJ is out.

That leaves me and JPC. If there is a winner declared by the halfway point of the season, I propose we start up a second contest. The winner of the current contest takes the prize of 5 bottles. The second contest could be for a lesser gift.

I'm in, and as I said earlier. In the next go around you can only use a team once.

In other sporting news, please remember the Angels in your thoughts and prayers tonight.
