Kolchak, We Hardly Knew Ye...
Darren McGavin, R.I.P. - McGavin, 83, was best known for his role as the father in "A Christmas Story," but I still think his best work was duking it out with monsters, demons, and Vincenzo as Kolchak, the Night Stalker.
Presidential approval rating down to 34%,
Cheney's approval rating down to 18%.
Iraq on the verge of civil war.
Great job you guys! Keep up the good work!
I would argue the president's approval ratings are down because he pissed off the majority of Republicans over the UAE/Ports deal. You see, Republicans act on principle and not politics alone.
For the most part, we are true to our convictions. I'll concede there is also politicking among Republicans but it's not the same across the aisle.
For example, Hillary Clinton has been a vocal critic of the Port deal. Good for her. Bill Clinton is advising the UAE company. They’re working both sides. What does that tell you?
As for Iraq, of course, we could squelch the insurgency and stop any Civil War from erupting. But we are the United States not a brutal dictatorship like the previous regime. Saddam Hussein held down the ethnic/religious differences by horrific force. Sorry, that's not our game. Instead we will continue to try to bring democracy to a part of the world that desperately needs it.
You guys should turn off the moderator thing. I've noticed comments have gone down the drink. I mean, what are you afraid someones going to say. If a comment really pisses you off you can delete it. People (all be them few) don't come to this blog to hear you preach, they come here to vent. Its going to hati's in a hand basket.
Republicans sure are true to their convictions. And they have a whole lot more convictions coming. Delay, Libby, Frist, Abrahamoff.Post a Comment
You can always count on Republicans to stick to their principles: insider dealing, money stealing, domestic spying, fearmongering and especially lying. Since Nixon these have been solid Republican principles.
The current administration has added a new principle: messianic idealism.
