Drop everything.

Don't. Look. Away.

Unrelated, but check out these intro segments from the classic TV series, Land of the Lost:

Here is the original:

Marshall, Will and Holly
On a routine expedition
Met the greatest earthquake ever known
High on the rapids It struck their tiny raft (insert screams here)
And plunged them down a thousand feet below
To the Land of the Lost
To the Land of the Lost
To the Land of the Lost

And this one is from after their father left the show ("through the door of time" and all that):

Will and Holly Marshall
As the earth beneath them trembled
Lost their father through the door of time
Uncle Jack went searching
And found those kids at last
Looking for a way to escape
From the Land of the Lost

The special effects were horrible. It is almost painful to watch, today. But if you watched this show as a kid, it is almost impossible not to love it.

Oh, and more good news. Land of the Lost movie starring Will Farrell will be hitting the theaters next year.

UPDATE: I don't remember this show from the 1970s. (It's actually a "Mr. Show" Krofft brothers parody. Very funny).

UPDATE 2: I found the first season of Land of the Lost on DVD at the library and brought it back home for the kids (well, me mostly) to watch. It was great fun for everyone, though my daughter is a bit afraid of Enik -- even though he was the "good" Sleestak and they only run 1 mile an hour. Speaking of Sleestak, the show confirmed something I always suspected: yes, the Sleestak use the metric system and measure height in meters (metres?) rather than feet. It figures.

Comments:
'Land of the Lost' and 'Sigmund and the Seamonster' were my Saturday morning ritual.

No it's 'Little Einsteins' and 'Higglytown Hero's'.
